Sara’s Tearooms is Open Again Tomorrow – Get Ready for the Bank Holiday Weekend

We were due to be open again today, but as the weather has been very wet and is due to continue we have decided not to open today.

The good news is that the weekend is nearly here, it’s a Bank Holiday as well, and we will be open again on Saturday 10am – 5pm. We are sorry if you are disappointed, but hope you will join us on Saturday (when the weather is due to improve (well, it should do as well…its a Bank Holiday)) for delicious Homemade Cakes & Meals.

At Sara’s Tearooms, we have customers travel from far and wide to come and experience Sara’s Homemade Cakes, Daily Specials and excellent seaside views. Acting as proud ambassadors of Great Yarmouth and the wider Norfolk area, we are keen to get behind Norfolks ‘Closer than you think to London‘ campaign.

It is a very topical subject right now, especially with all the disruptions to flights from Icelandic Volcanoes and Ash Clouds. UK holiday destinations are fantastic, with Great Yarmouth & Norfolk being a great place to choose…it’s great value for money (compared to Europe) too!

The Wait is Over…Open Daily 10am – 5pm from Tomorrow

With another Bank Holiday Monday coming after this weekend and the Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach opening for the day this Wednesday (25th May 2011), Sara’s Tearooms will be open from 10am – 5pm tomorrow and everyday until mid September.

We look forward to greeting customers old and new with our usual friendly Sara’s Tearooms greeting.

Cakes are Sara’s speciality…with every cake ever sold in our Cafe / Restaurant being personally baked by Sara. We pride Sara’s Tearooms on being the best and original for genuine homemade cakes in Great Yarmouth.

At Sara’s Tearooms, we make our Homemade Specials and Cakes on a daily basis to keep the meals and cakes fresh and the quality high. Unlike many of our competitors on the seafront, when we say ‘Homemade’, our food is exactly that…HOMEMADE! No packets, no mixes bought in, just fresh raw ingredients used in traditional recipes that are cooked in the Tearooms kitchen by Sara herself.

Slimming Worlds Annual Miles for SMILES Walkers visit Sara’s Tearooms

On Sunday 22nd May Members of local Slimming World groups completed a charity walk along Great Yarmouth seafront as part of the Annual Miles for Smiles event.

Walkers from 3 Great Yarmouth groups, Gorleston, Bradwell, Caister, Acle and Blofield (plus their families and four legged friends) came together to complete the mile walk on Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile.

Starting at Joyland, the charity walkers took in the sights of the seafront whilst making their way to the finish line at Sara’s Tearooms. Reaching the finish, the walkers were given the usual Sara’s Tearooms warm welcome and a well earned mug of tea or refreshing soft drink.

Should you wish to make a donation to the charities, this can either be made on the Justgiving SMILES page or in person at Sara’s Tearooms. Don’t forget to tick the ‘Gift Aid’ box and provide your contact details…it helps boost the money raised.

SMILES stands for Slimmers Making It a Little Easier for Someone, and each year the SMILES committee chooses a special charity to benefit from the amazing generosity of Slimming World Consultants’ and members’. In 2010 SMILES is raising funds for the NSPCC’s Child’s Voice Appeal and the ISPCC.
